It serves as an official qualifying festival for the Academy Awards (Oscars), BAFTA, EFA Awards, and the Danish Robert Awards, making it a massive launchpad for global talent. Out of 4,092 global submissions, 164 short films across 49 countries have been selected. New for 2026, the festival introduces an official Music Video Competition featuring 30 music videos.
