KØN (Aarhus)

You still don’t know my name

Respectful, investigative and anonymous portraits. After extensive research, the photographers showed up well prepared. The empathetic and respectful approach shines through in the portraits. A high degree of anonymity has been a crucial factor throughout the entire process.

YOU STILL DON’T KNOW MY NAME is a photo documentary exhibition by Louise Herrche Serup and Sarah Hartvigsen Juncker. The exhibition tells the story of migrant sex workers and potential victims of human trafficking who live and work in Denmark. They work around the clock, more or less voluntarily, to earn money and create a better life for themselves and the families waiting thousands of kilometers away. “It wasn’t because I wanted to. It was because I have to take care of my children. I pay 600 euros a month for their education. I don’t want the children to know what I do. There’s no future in that.” *Check KØN’s website for the museum’s opening times. @louherrche @sarahhjuncker
